Invisible Neglect

Introduction to Prenatal Trauma

2.5 clock hours for Teachers, LPC/LMFT, LCSW & PhD

“Trauma informed” practice has become a buzz word in both the mental health arena and in public education. What usually comes to mind are the stories of horrific abuse and neglect that we hear and read about in the media. Rarely do people think about abuse and neglect of the unborn child. This series of webinars is an introduction to the broader concepts of prenatal trauma and the potential for lifelong impact.

This is a three-part series that includes:

  1. What is Prenatal Trauma?
  2. How Does Trauma Enter the Womb
  3. Exposture to Substances
